Mato Grosso do Sul Government and the 2030 Agenda

The Government of Mato Grosso do Sul has been encouraging actions that work together with the UN's Agenda 2030 and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to contribute to the planet earth and also improve the quality of life of the population of Mato Grosso do Sul.

In November 2021 the Government made official the Carbon Neutral State Plan until 2030, which aims to establish actions and measures to neutralize greenhouse gas emissions. Also, according to the plan, we will reach the stage of a State with Zero Net Emission (NFE), through actions in some thematic areas such as agribusiness, energy, and waste treatment. Also, in December 2021 the government announced the "MS+Science" that allocates R$30 million to projects that contemplate innovation and sustainability, contributing to the 17 goals.

Still, the state counts on the participation of the Cidadania Viva program, which has acted through actions that promote citizenship and sustainability through the use of educommunication.
